The ribbon cutting ceremony at DMA’s new 300,000 sq ft distribution warehouse in Mullins, SC, took place on Thursday, March 29th at the facility. This event was attended by local and state officials who all expressed gratitude to DMA for their investment in the local economy and the creation of jobs in an area of the state that was hard hit by Hurricane Matthew.
The new distribution center, which has undergone some much-needed renovations, comes as a result of the continued growth the company has been experiencing in its North American operations over the past 3 years. The facility in Mullins will allow DMA to store and distribute product, as well as add another layer of support to the two existing distribution centers—located in North Carolina. The number of new employees is expected to rise significantly as qualified personnel will be needed to help operate and maintain the sprawling facility.
Over the last 10 years, DMA has gone from a business operating out of a shared warehouse with just three full-time employees to a business operating out of three distribution centers with 60-plus employees and counting.
